Welcome
Hi! I'm Manny, a Film & TV writer and native Angeleno. I was born and raised in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles and graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a B.A. in English and continued my education at the UCLA Writing Program with a degree in Film Writing. I'm also a graduate of the Writers' Guild Foundation Writers' Support Staff Training Program. I recently completed my first writers' room for an Amazon series, and have worked on productions like In Treatment, Glee, The Good Wife, and NCIS: Los Angeles, among others.
My pilot East Side Story was a finalist in the ATX Television Festival “The Pitch” competition, and my feature The Exclusive was a finalist in the ScreenCraft Horror Competition.
I have participated in the 48 Hour Film Project competition 8 years in a row, winning Best Film twice, and winning Best Writing for my short film Boy Soldier. Our team’s latest 48 Hour Film Project endeavor, Silence, made it all the way to the Cannes Film Festival screening at the short films corner. When not working, I enjoy competing in cooking competitions, hosting outdoor movie nights in my backyard, and playing with my dogs Chewbacca and Chiquita.
